Nekantropy was a raging Black Metal project from Canada, this interview was completed in February 2004 with the main force behind the project Foglord Gwalikath.
1. A brief synopsis of the projects history/contributing members/release history
So far, Nekantropy has had three acual contributing members. Nekantropy was formed in 2001, for the expressing of the thoughts of Gwalikath. These three members include Gwalikath, Arataus (Misvita) and Dohmnach (Forest of Castles). These members were generally added to do drum programming and some bass. However, with the recording quality we had to deal with, this was not overly successful. I have now taken things into my own hands and currently songs are being recorded for the next demo. The only demo released so far is Foglords. This is not an active portrayal of the music to come.
2. Give some general thoughts on the inspiration behind the music.
Inspiration behind the music would include medieval aspects and hate towards today’s humanity. The race of mankind was once glorious, however of late many aspects (interracial-breeding, multiculturalism, democracy, rise of technology) have destroyed what was left of our race.
3. Some specifics on your sound.
The sound is raw and grinding, often improvised at certain parts in the music. Drums are normally filled with blastbeats and guitars are generally not technical. Expect more mystical Nekantropy in the future.
4. what does your music portray or represent?
My music represents all that my mind thinks. Stagnation in the dark ages, nature and separation of the cultures.
5. What is your opinion on the state of the underground situation?
Frankly, my area brings nothing black metal. I have little care or respect for any “black metal” scene. Most of the bands you can see nowadays are generally trendfaggits who all go after the same satanic, evil path. This is not what, in my opinion, black metal is about.
6. What is coming up for this project over the next 1-2 years?
Most likely some splits with Geimhre or other Canadian hordes I respect.
7. Ask yourself one question you'd like to be asked and answer it.
8. Thanks or taking the time to fill this out, any last words?
Stay true to yourself, may the human race choke on the grey ash of nuclear warheads.
9. Do You Have Any Contact Info? Such As A Homepage, Snail Mail or Email Addies.
You can contact me about the demo at Nekantropy@Death-star.com or use MSN via necromayhem@antisocial.com
Once in a while you stumble across a joker while conducting an interview, some of those jokers makes you wonder if it's worth the while. Though fuck that, sometimes it's good to have it all turned upside down. Here you have a blood dripping interview with comedian, growler and guitarist Jason Kocol from Oakland's finest Carcass worshippers Impaled!
1. What’s going on in the Impaled camp at the moment?
We are doing pretty good at camp this year. We just learned how to tie a square knot. Tomorrow I think our counsellors are going to take us kayoing in the lake. At the end of the week there’s going to be a dance with lots of music, cookies and punch! Things are fun, but one of our bunk mates always wets the bed. Gross! We miss you, Mom and Dad.
2. How much do you look forward to get “Death After Life” released?
We look about as forward as one can look. Yep, eyes straight ahead, six inches above the horizon. That’s us!
3. What do you think about the album?
I think that it is way better than two kicks square in the jaw. Plus it sounds a lot better than that.
4. Is it the most complete Impaled album to date?
Yes, it was always a problem with our past albums where they would just stop somewhere between the middle and the last 2/3rds of what we intended. We finally got our technique down so it no longer does that!
5. How has the reaction been so far, if you have gotten any?
It’s been pretty varied. Many of the 13-year-old online webzine journalists have complaints about the production (you know, the fact that it’s actually really heavy yet there are dynamics and you can hear what we’re playing) and the material not breaking new ground (yet if we really broke new ground by arranging all the songs for a 15-piece contrabassoon ensemble they’d still complain), but our fans who’ve contacted us directly really seem to like it a lot. Go figure!
6. What do you expect from the album?
I expect every man, woman, transgender and child to have purchased a copy of it by the end of this week. If that doesn’t happen, at midnight we will turn into pumpkins. Very DEATH METAL PUMPKINS.
7. How do you think your fans will react to “Death After Life”?
I believe the most common reactions are loss of sleep, nausea, bloating, and just your everyday run-of-the-mill head exploding. Please ask your doctor if “Death After Life” is right for you. Oh wait, we are doctors. So yes, it’s right for you.
8. Will you tell us about the concept behind “Death After Life”?
The concept is very original: there are songs with both music and lyrics simultaneously! How we were able to stumble upon that is anyone’s guess.
9. How do you get influenced musically and lyrically?
The first step is to lock ourselves in a walk-in freezer for 3 days without food or water, with white noise blasting through speakers that are piped in through the next room. After that, we read a bunch of old Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary books and we’re good to go!
10. I think there is a more Carcass feel over this album, than your previous ones, is that correct?
If you’ve ever ran your bare hands over a carcass, you’d know how good it feels. So then it’s no surprise we decided to capture that feeling with music.
11. The touch of Swedish heavy melodic death is almost gone from the music, any specific reason for that?
It’s because Swedish heavy melodic death metal NEVER RETURNS OUR PHONE CALLS ANYMORE, THAT JERK!!! (sounds of heavy weeping) Sorry, I can’t talk about this. Next topic, please.
12. The production is kinda noisy and “old” sounding, I really like it and think it fits the music perfectly. What did you want to accomplish with such a production?
What didn’t we want to accomplish, is really the question here!
13. Are the intros made by the band?
They are indeed. We also make a mean spinach soufflé if you’d ever care to sample it.
14. How far can you take the bloody mess known as Impaled?
From here to eternity, baby. Sorry, by “baby” I really meant “sweetie”.
15. When will we see you rip open the stages and venues in Denmark?
When you send us plane tickets and loads of cash. Our bank account number is 100257849-673. Get crackin’, buddy!
16. What albums do you listen a lot to at the moment?
These days it’s mostly field recordings of various grain silos from farms stretching across this great land of ours. The production on those are TOTALLY SICK, BRO!
17. Thanks a ton for spilling your guts… If you have anything to add, feel free to do it now!

This interview was conducted during the cold November of 2004 for the DK based 'zine Nocturnal Horde, so far only published in Danish, so for you death metal heads into dark mystical travels into the obscure thoughts and incantations of The Chasm, here you go! As you'll find out while reading the interview, it was conducted while the band was promoting the release of the album 'The Spell Of Retribution'! To catch up on recent news from the band, they just released their new offering 'Farseeing The Paranormal Abyss' on Corchado's own label Lux Inframundis. A release that I haven't checked out yet, so I can't tell you whether is good or bad, though having the band's past in mind, I can't imagine it beeing the latter!
1. Please start off by introducing yourself and tell us why you play metal?
My name is Daniel Corchado of the Cult of Death of THE CHASM and I play Heavy Metal because is the only music that matters to me, the only source of strength and inspiration to go on in this putrid life…
2. What do you find fascinating about metal and especially the atmospheric death metal with occult and ancient inspiration, as you make with The Chasm?
I am of the belief that Heavy Metal ,when played with conviction, honor, feeling and power, can be the most interesting and powerful form of artistic expression, when we create our songs we are not only doing music, we are also painting pictures of death and obscurity within our souls.
3. Where do you find inspiration when you write music?
Mostly from the golden era of Metal (80’s – early 90’s), my own ancestry and roots as a Mexican and of course my inner self.
4. Do you have a certain mood you have to be in, when you make your fantastic tunes?
Thanks for the compliment, yes,the majority of times I have to be in a certain mood to create our hymns of death, it may be a sad/depressive one, or an angry/hateful one, but it has to be a special state of mind.
5. What about the lyrics, how do you get inspired to write them?
It is just visions and ideals that are very personal and of big importance to me, I really don’t get any inspiration from books or movies, it all comes from deep inside, sometimes the lyrics may not make any sense to the people, but that's understandable!
6. Will you tell a bit about the lyrical content on “The Spell Of Retribution”?
The main core deals with the spiritual search of one individual for its owns roots and recover the past/lost glories, manifesting and constructing a very powerful spell to punish those individuals or circumstances that caused the decline and corruption of a once magnificent empire (and here I'm in some way metaphorically speaking about the ancient Aztec empire as well as the golden years of true Heavy/Death/Thrash/Black Metal!). I always had this vision about reaching a new place or dimension when my existence has ceased , and to find what I’m looking for, a lot of preparation must be made, learning and constructing, these ideas and visions are what The Chasm’s lyrical concept is all about…
7. You have always had a grandiose epic feel over your music, how did that come about?
As I mentioned,we are trying to create this special form of Heavy Metal of death, music that even if it’s extreme and intense, will transport ourselves (and the listener) to a different dimension, it may be one of war, or one of desolation, but we are creating Metal that goes beyond the generic and the mundane, something more transcending and with meaning.
8. What did inspire you to create The Chasm?
The urge to represent/channel my feelings into the most magnificent music in the world, Metal… That is the main reason why this band exists…
9. Have your inspirational sources changed over the years?
Not at all, the only thing that changes is that the emotions and visions are coming in different variations now, the experience of the past years and the lessons learned through this journey made this odyssey somehow different than in the beginning.
10. Will you tell us what bands and releases that has meant the most to you and the musical approach of The Chasm?
I could mention 5 that really marked my life: Slayer - Hell Awaits, Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Iron Maiden - killers, Celtic Frost - To Mega Therion and Kreator - Pleasure To Kill
11. When you first started The Chasm, what did you want to accomplish, and have you accomplished that?
I think so, because the main purpose to do this band was just to play the music that I like so much, to be able to be part of this magnificent movement, to create my own visions and ideas without any limits or boundaries, to create an authentic entity and force in Death Metal, and so far we have been lucky enough to realize this goal.
12. You are now ready with your new album “The Spell Of Retribution”, how do you feel about it?
We are very proud and satisfied with the final result, I really think it is our most destructive work to date, the way it should be, every new release has to be better (in our ears) than the last one, if one day we realize we cannot progress no more, then that day will be the day The Chasm will be put to rest…
13. How do you think your fans will react towards the album?
So far the reactions have been very strong and positive, this album is 100% in The Chasm style, but obviously taken to a higher level, so I’m sure any REAL follower of our path of destruction won’t be disappointed, because we are not, we are 100% into our new album!
14. Have heard any reactions towards the new album yet, both from the press and your fans?
Yes, so many reviews, and the grand majority are very positive and some even amazing. Of course there are a few out there who really don’t got into the album, which is ok,I ’m very glad that there is people who despise this album, and even talks shit about us. It is great to keep a balance, but in the end if the reviews are good or bad, it really doesn’t matter to us, as long as we are satisfied with our music, we will be fine.
15. It seems like The Chasm has built a huge fanbase over the years, is that correct and how do you feel about it?
Well, yes, I agree to some degree ,I mean, for a band like us, that still is very underground, I think you can call it “huge” to the amount of believers and followers that really support our crusade, it really gives us strength to continue in this battle, it shows that there are still dedicated souls who think and feel like us, who believe in the dark side of Metal… anti-trend …
16. You have always released your albums on minor labels through the years, but have still managed to get the album and name out to a lot of people, how have you managed that?
Well, I think it just is a sign of how much I care for this band, and how much I used to believe in spreading our pestilence! Back in the day the underground “network” was so much more pure, and I knew that there were individuals who maybe was interested in our style, I worked hard, sending promos, flyers etc., since our first days in Mexico, trying to spread our word and I guess that it paid off. I still try to do the same, but now with the website and internet, things are somehow simpler to do, but also the “personal” touch has been lost in one way…
17. How much did your gig in Incantation mean for The Chasm, it must have opened a lot of people’s eyes?
Probably it kinda helped our name a bit, but it was something that I tried to avoid, I mean, we always wanted to be heard and respected for what we are, as The Chasm, we don’t want to get compared to anybody. For me it just was a phase in my life, I had a good time and went to a lot of places, met a lot of people, it was great experience…
18. You have now signed to Wicked World/Earache, which must mean a breakthrough for The Chasm, what do you expect from the label?
To be honest, our expectations with Wicked World have been fulfilled almost 100% or so, I mean, we wanted to have a good recording budget, great distribution and promotion, and we accomplished that. It's been really satisfying to see our music spread to areas where we never have been before. Wicked World is doing a tremendous job promoting the album, the only thing that we may need to complete this work is to be able to finally tour worlwide. I mean, full American and European tours would be great, but it do not only depend on us, we need support from both the label and people, so we'll see, time shall tell...
19. What do you expect from “The Spell Of Retribution”?
What I expected already came true, a satisfying and unique piece of Darkened Heavy Metal of Death, that’s the way we see/hear it, that’s how we created it, that’s what we expected of it, it is done… Whatever happens on the “market” or with people’s reactions, is out of our control…
20. The latest album I own with The Chasm is the superb “Deathcult For Eternity: The Triumph”, a lot of things have happened since then. The band has developed a lot, though your still is sticking to your main idea. How would you describe the development of The Chasm since then?
It has just been a long road of keeping our own vision and conviction together and very strong, obviously there has been some changes and variations in the way we play, but the core and ideals of the band are still the same, but stronger and more focused. As we grow older I think we gain and learn from experiences and mistakes, it is a natural process, we want to keep doing this, we still feel it, and also we are more structured in several ways, not only musically but also mentally, as you said, we are developing, both as musicians and individuals. When we created “Deathcult For Eternity…” we were still in Mexico, we were younger and had a different perspective, but the style and essence I think was the same…
21. What can we expect from The Chasm in the future?
If there are no disturbing changes, and the ideas and inspiration keep flowing, then you can expect a more devastating The Chasm attack in the future.
22. How do you see the future for The Chasm?
Hard to tell, life brings so many unexpected things everyday, that it's hard to see the future clearly. I hope next year we'll be touring Europe as well as the USA, is all I can say for now…
23. Will you share your 3 favorite albums through the time with us metal heads?
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Black Sababth - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Iron Maiden - Killers
24. Thanks a ton for answering my questions, the last remark are yours!
Thanks for your time and support, keep the dark flame burning high and proud, hopefully we’ll meet soon!
Utter death
Osgiliath is an unknown entity in the growing american underground scene, this interview is conducted witht he sole member on the 15th of november 2003.
1.) A brief synopsis of the projects history/contributing members/release history
Osgiliath, is a project that has been around since early 2000. But back then it was just dark ambient noise project, one small release, didn't sell many at all. Just 3 song cd. Ever since I first started I wanted to do a black metal project, but mastering each instrument is the hard part. But until recent, I (Count Osgiliath), have decided to use a session drummer, and a few appearances by a few musicians on recordings. The Winter of 2003 will bring a new strength to see if Osgiliath will last. Planning a cd demo release on Christcrusher Prods, still in the works, but I know it shall be pressed.
2.) Give some general thoughts on the inspiration behind the music.
Osgiliath inspiration is more fantasy based lyrics, with personal and cosmic reflect. Dark ambient sound, with drawn out dark lyrics. Few songs are about the history of Osgiliath, which is taken right from a Tolkein ruined city, that's west of Mordor. I'm not sure what the lyrics of the future shall bring, its becoming winter, a new year has begun, and I feel that this years Winter Solstice shall bring many influences to all.
3.) Some specifics on your sound.
Osgiliath sound is really going for a particular sound, but influences from Behemoth (sventevit album), Emperor (s/t), Satyricon (the shadowthrone), Graveland (thousand swords), Nargaroth (Herbstleyd), Darkthrone (under a funeral moon).
4.) what does your music portray or represent?
With Most everything that Osgiliath represents, is a fictional setting and journey. Can turn out to be a mystic look into the grim reality of Strength and Darkness.
5.) What is your opinion on the state of the underground situation?
Where I come from, the black metal scence is very very slim to none. Being that im from the States, the underground thing isn't Black Metal, but Punk/hardcore. Which isn't bad, the crowd is into anything underground, so black metal bands can play on the same bill as a hardcore band and the crowd likes it just as much. But that's not true to where-ever you go, which is true with any scence, there is always places where elitism comes into play and ruins everything.
6.) What is coming up for this project over the next 1-2 years?
Hopefully the release on Christcrusher. A few Cd comps, as many has I can send to, atleast. Winter is providing good time for recording, and writing, hopefully more shall be released. Regardless a label backing the band, there still will be releases. Osgiliath is just a solo project, but with a few members as session musicians, some are from an old blackmetal/grind I was in, and some are new.
7.) Thanks or taking the time to fill this out, any last words?
ruined it shall lay, forever and a day
til the time it is dust, and forgotten
rise, rise again the king he shall
reclaim his throne, and rule again
.................they become, they are, the Kings of Osgiliath
8.) Also, please provide website information, if applicable....

GGFH is an electronic/industrial/techno/mental/psycho band from USA and plays a fucked up kind of music which earned them a signing to Peaceville in the early 90s and saw them touring Europe together with My Dying Bride.
1.) Could you give us an introduction to and a small history of GGFH for the people who dont know you or are not too familiar with the band?
that question is lookin for a long answer...well..we started a gang in school wearing pentagrams and goat heads on or jackets..this was in east oakland in the 80's..basically the worst place youve ever been..took to much acid...recorded noise and samples from tv..recorded em together in our bathroom...came up with some sick shit...went from noise to makin real songs...put out our tapes everywhere we could..got signed by peaceville...toured...were way ahead of our time..died...and now im bringing it back!
2.) I read that the name was initially ment to be "goat guys from hell" but that it was later changed to "global genocide forget heaven" why was the name changed? and what do the Names represent to you?
Goat guys from hell was our original gang name...for the goats on our jackets...people started calling us that... we changed it cause it didnt sound serious enough for a band..even if we are sick fucks..we still have a sence of humor.. and goat guys is pretty funny...but i dont think everyone would have got the joke!
3.) What does the music you record with GGFH represent to you and Brian?
well its a release..you know..ya got ta get the bad shit out somehow...killin..fightin...and its a challenge to build a song and that energizes the artistic side of me....
4.) I was told you're into Jungle now, I was also told that if GGFH was to release a new album it would be in this style. Is there any truth to this?
ive been a dj for 13 years now...so im into all kinds of music ..always have been...as you can tell by our songs... so yea jungle, metal..whatever im takin in will get materialized in ggfh...and spit back out...
5.) You are now a dance music DJ. I saw GGFH as very loosely based on technoish music but with sick, perverted overtones and a style onto yourselves. Will the element of perversity and darkness stay with GGFH with the new stuff despite the style it may be, if there is a new style?
oh yea new shit will always be ggfh...dark..dead...but im sure stuff im listening to will influence it...
but im keeping it ggfh..youll be able to hear that....
6.) Will the new stuff (if there will be any new stuff) once again feature the your vocal expertise and the original GGFH line up with Brian?
I dont think brians into doin this anymore..i tried to get him to do the "beast of" with me and he kinda fucked it off... So im doin everything now...with a couple new people...its good workin with someone whos into what thier doin....
7.) In an interview i read with you guys from the early 90s you stated that the main influence was taken from horror movies. are there any other influences for the music?
Shit the world in general..fuckin terrorists, death, our fucked up human disease...horror movies influenced me since i was a kid... but now its life here on earth that gives me ideas.....
8.) GGFH have always put ona big act live, would there be any chances for tours after peaceville re-release the old material and the compilation? how about a chance of a video of your old concerts?
I dont know about a tour..we'd have to have enough $$$..to do what i wanted to do on stage..couldnt do a half-ass show nowadays...i dont know if a record company would back us.
9.) Peaceville is re releasing the GGFH albums, this is great because they are hard to get but will we see any bonus tracks? A pamphlet I recived with Preparing for war said the darkthrone re releases would feature bonus tracks but all we got was a gay slipcase. Is this what we can expect with the GGFH re-releases?
I dont know..ya see its not up to me..peaceville owns all that ..they can do whatever they want with it...
i wasnt happy with the mastering on "beast of"..and they rushed me on the songs i was workin on...
so i have no control over that...kinda sucks...but thats why im workin on new shit..and ill put it out my self if i have to....
10.) Peaceville is releasing a GGFH "best of", will this feature any new/demo stuff? Darkthrone's Preparing for war featured a grand total of about 2 tracks that fans wouldn't have easilly been able to obtain, how much input will you have as to which tracks are featured on the compilation? Any chance of live material?
As i said..no not really..they chose a bunch of old noise shit we did..and i would have put the faster songs on it.... wasnt really happy..but i could have sat back and had no contribution to it at all......
11.) About this music video for the track 'Real' which was recorded in the early 90s and is being released on the best of compilation, how come it was never released before? what kind of things will we see on this video? Will it be a movie type music video? or a live video or what?
It's a music video..i made...mtv europe wouldnt show it...dont ask me why..the blood was to red..i dont know... its kool ..i had fun makin it....we made some crap version of it when we came over there,,thats the one they showed...
12.) Will we ever see any of the numerous demos released in their entirety? Halloween had some great demos but it was more like a compilation.
I doubt it..we took most of the good shit off all of em...unless ya wanna hear more of our noise experiments.. cool back then..but people dont get it now...
13.) Looking back on what GGFH has recorded, how do you feel about your previous work?
Shit ya know...some good some crap!!..some songs still give the shivers when i hear em...some i cant stand.. alot we were just fuckin around..not really tryin...but new stuff ..i hope to capture that magic we had on a few old tunes..
14.) What should we expect from the future of GGFH, and from Your work as DJ ghost. and will we expect to see anything from Brian int he future?
Just hope i can make enough songs to put out new cd....as far as brian..???
15.) Thanks for takin time out for this interview, any last words which you would like to send out to the fans?
Just to tell them thanx for the support over all thes years..and i never thought so many people out there shared my vision.. your all sick fucks..and proud of it....thanx..ghost666
16.) Any contact info or web page info you'd like to post for the interview to me located on the page?
yea check out ggfh.com..im workin on it right now...should have ggfh t-shirts up soon......stay sick...

IbexThrone are an American raw black metal project. Unlike the short interview from some time in 2000, This is a more personalized Interview I conducted With Lord Dying of IbexThrone in The Summer of 2001.
1. Firstly Would You Tell us who you are and give us a short history of your Band for the people out there who haven't heard of you before.
Ibex Throne was formed in the summer of 1997 with one goal: to make destructive and negative music aimed to manipulate the minds of mortals to the darkest regions of the human psyche. Many lineup changes happened at first and we released two demos so far: Transcend The Darkness and D.E.A.D. earning much praise in the underground.
2. What does the Name Ibex Throne Mean?
In essence, "the throne of the goat" or Lord Shaitan as he is known. This has nothing to do with the christian concept of Satan as we all know how well they bastardized the original meaning and concept of Shaitan. Satan was the term they used, but in the bible the "Devil" is not called Satan once. Shaitan represents to us mainly is the power of perversity and darkness to bring human comprehension to the ultimate realization: death is real and inevitable. I was speaking to Sharund of Demon Realm the other day about this obscure form of true Satanism, it really isn't Satanism as it serves no function of praising an actual diety or having any real religous context or dogma, yet it is necessary to associate an idea of darkness with a being of darkness. Few people out there will understand this, but to those who do this should all make perfect sense.......we are not religous at all, yet we praise the darkness that man is capable of and all Shaitan means to us is this darkness and obscurity that few people will comprehend fully. In an essence it is a Nihilistic stance we are taking, but there is method to the mayhem. To understand it I must say you first understand our music and lyrical content to their fullest potentcy. I rarely talk about this so consider yourself honoured.............
3. To you personally... what does the music you record represent?
Well, I explained much of it above, but I must say our music is one thing that can help us represent what we feel in our minds. Darkness, utter darkness. I can walk amongst you and I can be social and friendlyto the people I know, but on the other hand I can kill them without reason or remorse. It's a fine line of insanity and genius and I think our music is on that fine line. I'm not being egotistical, but realistic. I beleive that our music represents most of all, the utter hatred for organized relgion and mostly that is directed to the Judeo-Christian regime. They must be stopped! Only then will all mortals finally realize an honourable age of darkness and nobility. Many people say that this is a waste of time to go up against the Christians, many of these people are active in the Black Metal scene, I think these people are concerned with being too "cool" or "different" to stand up for any kind of cause. FUCK THEM! Remember fuckers this is WARFARE not fucking music only!
4. what do you use as inspiration and influences while writing the music?
Hmmm, nothing as far as external stimuli is utilized in our crafting of hymns. The inspiration comes from our know how and our minds, this is the music we create from the bottom of our black hearts. Musically as far as influences go and bands that brought me on the path to create my own and personal music goes from old Mayhem up to old Slayer. Other bands I admire are Order From Chaos, Abigor, old Morbid Angel, Beherit, Black Witchery, Thornspawn, Vlad Tepes, Darkthrone, old Emperor, Blasphemy, Barathrum, Incantation, Mütiilation, Possessed, Profanatica, and Angel Corpse. These bands were the fruition of my path to metal, and I think they are the most relevant and first to mind at this moment.
5. The American Scene has recently made a strong rise with Raw Black Metal How come do you think All this great black metal Has just Suddenly surfaced? And why do you think this is so under rated?
It's always been here, I just think everyone is craving real shit and now that Norway has nothing to offer people are looking elsewhere. I liked it better when we didn't get as much attention as we do now, but I can say that it is somewhat gratifying to be recognized. Most faggots are so ignorant and will dismiss American Black Metal because of name alone, that's alright though, we don't want weak minded band wagon Norway loving pussies on our side. There has always been a great tradition of black metal here, even at the same time the Black Circle thing in Norway happened, but due to the ever-present death metal scene it never really happened in a big way. Fuck it all though I listen to a band based on how vile and potent their music is, not by where they are from, bands I must recommend from all across the globe are: Black Witchery, Impiety, Conqueror, Revenge, Blasphemy, Angel Corpse (RIP), Abominator, Sadistik Exekution, Sabbat, Destroyer 666, Abigail, Nargaroth, Judas Iscariot, Kathonik, CRAFT, Bestial Warlust, Kult ov Azazel, Krieg, Maniac Butcher, Fluisterwoud, Apocalyptic Raids, Shining, Botulistum, Altar Of Perversion, Spiritual Wintermoon, Fog, Horna, Thornspawn, and Blood Storm to name a few of many. And also the latest Absu album is one of the most vile and vicious albums ever to be released, buy that today or suffer......
6. What prompted you to re-release your demos as a CD?
High demand and low inital print runs.....
7. you were recently on a true underground tribute to the black emperors, Darkthrone. how do you think the morons at Moonfag and Fenriz would react if they were to hear this raw masterpiece?
I'm not sure, I would hope that Fenriz, Zephyrous and Nocturno Culto would appreciate it as it is a tribute to their great music and legacy. I could give a fuck less how the fool Satyr-panties at Moonfag Shitturds would care about it.
8. How does the new music you're recording for the upcoming split with craft compare to the music you have released on the demos?
Much faster, vile, heavier and aggressive then our previous efforts.....like the demons of a Necromantical vision have been resurrected and forced to make noise, that's how it sounds.....
9. Ibex Throne Have had quite some success with gigs in USA, Do you think use Europeans will be seeing you guys on our shores?
I hope so, time will only tell.....
10. And finally what are the plans for the future of Ibex Throne?
Our upcoming 10" split with Craft "Nihlistic Death War" will be available very soon, this release is very much anticpated as I have been getting 50 emails every couple of weeks for the past year about it. Tshirts of both the vinyl and CD of our album covers will be made available soon, and also the debut album itself which will be out soon, then a most vicious 7" entitled Waging Our Dark War out in late winter. And then of course the Blood Fire Death festival in Ft Lauderdale FL on Octboer 5th at Orbits Club with masters Arghoslent, Decrepit, Nargaroth and Profanatica, and many
others...........also join us in boycotting Phil Anselmo and any other fag project that glam fag is involved in!
11. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule, Any final words you'd like to send out to the readers?
Sure why not, everybody reading this, put all your feelings deep inside and grab the nearest knife or bludgeon, make sure you wear a big trenchcoat and hood. That night walk amongst the streets of where you live and murder the first human being you see, make sure you do this at late night, and don't do anything stupid like dropping the knife! Make sure you have a sock to stuff in your victims mouth, if you have no socks, duct tape or your hand will suffice as well. Repeat this method everynight until Samhain, then please join us in our annual Samhain live performance where we will all have a lovely barbecue with plenty of beer, guts, fog and darkness, write me at ibexthrone@hotmail.com for more info........

My "music" represents hate for christianity, and the many other things in this life that i want to destroy..
5.) What is your opinion on the state of the underground situation?
The Underground seems strong i have met many sick dedicated ghouls and it seems promising.
6.) What is coming up for this project over the next 1-2 years?
In the years to come i just want to make hateful music, and have people listen to it and want to make hateful music of
there own.
7.) Thanks or taking the time to fill this out, any last words?
Christianity needs to fall religion and god was created by man,so it must fall by man, this religion has killed and raped many people and still its accepted by people, fuck this shit, threw blackmetal i find my soul can rest, threw extreme metal i can live. This art of darkness is not to be fucked with,it can be destructive if you are a weak human, and this is why i love it only the strong heathens can handle this art, like the christpigs the weak always fall.

2.) Give some general thoughts on the inspiration behind the music.
the inspriation for our band is to create some great evil music, in the vein of Mayhem, Incantation, Darkthrone and Morbid Angel, but not a rip off of any of these bands.

Ibex Throne plays dark sickeining crushing Black fucking Metal, no keyboards or useless female vocals here.

The underground here in the States has some of the best Black Metal to offer. Other US bands I recommend are Judas Iscariot, Krieg, Cryptic Winds and Myrmidon.

Our new album will be released in 2000 and we don't know what the future holds for Ibex Throne, a tour maybe
