Lord Dying - IbexThrone (Early 2000)

Ibex Throne are raw black metal from USA, and play it in the vein which it was ment to be. This interview was conducted with The guitarist Lord Dying. This interview was conducted in early 2000


1.) A brief synopsis of the projects history/contributing members/release history
Ibex Throne was formed in 1997, we have two releases thus far, Transcend the Darkness in 1998 and D.E.A.D. in 1999. We have had different members over the years but now it is me Lord Dying on guitar, Azelcraz Marconis Witchborn on vocals, Judas Drexor Arawn on guitar, Desecrator on bass, and Mictlan on drums.


2.) Give some general thoughts on the inspiration behind the music.
the inspriation for our band is to create some great evil music, in the vein of Mayhem, Incantation, Darkthrone and Morbid Angel, but not a rip off of any of these bands.


3.) Some specifics on your sound.
Ibex Throne plays dark sickeining crushing Black fucking Metal, no keyboards or useless female vocals here.


4.) What is your opinion on the state of the underground situation?
The underground here in the States has some of the best Black Metal to offer. Other US bands I recommend are Judas Iscariot, Krieg, Cryptic Winds and Myrmidon.

5.) What is coming up for this project over the next 1-2 years?
Our new album will be released in 2000 and we don't know what the future holds for Ibex Throne, a tour maybe
